September 2018 Connect Day

This months connect day was hosted at LA Valley College! Sisters on the Streets had a great set up outside of Monarch Hall, while all the other providers were inside helping people signup for signing up for services.

We had 8 volunteers help distribute our giveaways. We had plenty of items to give (pads, tampons, underwear, bras, adult diapers, clothes, shoes, make up, soaps, hair product, lotion, brushes, sunscreen, toothbrushes, toothpaste, chap stick, shaving razors, hats, belts, bags and snacks).

We all love helping people find clothes that fit their style and size, as well as providing basic hygiene necessities. Being able to provide clothes and all the giveaways to people that are going through tough situations, is a big part of Sisters on the Streets. If you or anyone is interested in being involved or helping out by volunteering, donating, spreading awareness, or collecting for us please contact us!

Change Agents!

Alycia organized for community kids to get together at the Sylmar Neighborhood Council Office to put together hygiene packs for our outreach! Getting them involved in the community and sharing the idea of ” there is no them, there is only us”.
